Open Days are being launched at community rugby league clubs across the South East in the through March and April as a recruitment drive for young players coached through the Sky Try programme.
The Foundation is currently delivery Sky Try projects in partnership with 13 community clubs across the region, stretching from Brighton on the south coast, up to Southend in Essex. A total of 58 primary schools are currently receiving rugby league coaching for boys and girls from Year 2 to Year 4.
As part of the project, each of the clubs are expected to hold an open day, to throw open the doors to new players and encourage new people to get involved. The Foundation are encouraging anyone interested in getting their son or daughter playing mini rugby league to get down to their nearest club to give it a go.
