Primary & Secondary School Coaching Services
The London Rugby League Foundation offers a range of coaching services to primary and secondary schools. The Foundation can deliver high quality curriculum and extra-curricular sessions in Rugby League or Multi-Skills from Year 3 upwards.
In addition, we run inter and intra school rugby festivals, and teacher training in delivering tag rugby and rugby league for Primary and Secondary School teachers respectively.
All Foundation coaches are licensed minimum Level 2 Rugby League coaches, 1st aid and Safeguarding trained and DBS checked. All tutors for teacher training are trained and accredited with the Rugby Football League, the National Governing Body for Rugby League.
The Foundation currently delivers in the London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, and Newham but if you are based at a school outside this area, please do get in touch and we'll try to help.
For information on prices and availability, please contact Dan Steel at [email protected] or see our latest offer below.
Here are a few testamonials from some of the schools we work with:
"It has been great working with the Rugby league foundation! The coaching has been brilliant and the children have loved the sessions."
Park Hill Primary School, Croydon.
"A great opportunity enjoyed by all the children. It was so good to see their improvement over such a short time."
St Peter's Primary School, Croydon.
"It has been a pleasure to work with the Foundation. They have a great understanding of school life and how sports can make a difference to the pupils’ life."
Woodmansterne Primary School, Lambeth.
“Tag rugby fits in really well with our curriculum, team building, sports manship, hand eye coordination skills that they can use inside the class room and in the playground. It teaches children that they can work really well in mixed groups. They are building skills so they feel more confident.
The Rugby League Classes have taught me quite a lot. PE is not my strong point but its taught me how to integrate children who are less confident into a class room environment.
I’ve got some really positive feedback from the children. The classes really energise them and they’ve been able to work better collaboratively. They bring the skills from the sessions into the class room.”
Julian's Primary School, Lambeth
